I grew up enamored by stories of classic records made in "destination studios" - Records like Exile On Main Street recorded at Chateau Nellcôte in the south of France, Night at the Opera at Rockfield in the Wye Valley of Wales, or more recently, Folklore recorded at Long Pond in upstate New York.

Boxer Lodge isn't going to be mistaken for a chateau, but we are located in a small rural town in the hills above Napa Valley.  We're close enough to the Bay area cities of San Francisco and Oakland that it's possible to just come up for the day, but more often band members choose to stay here in one of our three guest bedrooms or our small guest cottage.

A typical day of recording at Boxer Lodge starts with grabbing your cup of coffee and wandering in to track in your sweatpants and slippers, and finishes with cooking together and sharing food, drinks and stories around the dinner table. The property features a pool for summer swimming, a spa for a post-recording soak under the stars, an outdoor dinner table and a bocce court to keep the bass player and drummer entertained during overdubs.  There are miles of nearby trails in the woods to get some exercise and clear your head.
